I hate to be the only one in the room to mention that there is an elephant farting and urinating all over the floor. Though I have existed for eternity in ‘un-distracted non-meditation’, observing the ever-changing - though not different - phenomena flicker across the screen, Nirvana is not my abode. It is not my abode because this consciousness expressing as the concept I am So and So - ever so illusory and fossilized in the sands of time, soon to be extinct - is Why. Is there not - albeit not available to "me" - a reason/purpose to the ceaseless arising and passing away of conceptual thoughts and images - these phenomena? Why must there be a constant stirring of the Omnipresence, splashing an atom of itself into/onto this universe, creating beings to then dance - with partners of pleasure and pain - to the only conclusion available to it: conscious (not consciousness) extinction. Is this play, is it energy creation, is it experience gathering to preclude timeless boredom, is it character building for the Omnipresence? Yes, ignorant I am as "I" am but a time bound, illusory, ever so impermanent being, bitter at the gift of extinction bequeathed to me by the Omnipresence. Yes "I" am the bastard child of the Omnipresence from the barren woman...is there no one to help, not even to talk to me?

Okay, so if "I"/"me" don't exist, where do transitory thoughts arise/come from? Do they arise/come from the "we" (the all knowing awareness-consciousness)? If "I" am the child of the barren woman, am "I" not as much of the all knowing awareness-consciousness as the "non-I"... equanimity is equanimity isn't it?

I recently was at a flea market and bought a slab of stone containing two fossilized fish and purchased a small carved Buddha (both having a somewhat off-white, old look) from different vendors. I took them home and placed the fossil stone on a small stand (made to display plates) and my five year old son immediately placed the Buddha on the stand in front of the fossil stone. The combination suddenly became a work of art, totally disorientating me for a couple minutes...can you visualize the Buddha with two fossilized fish "floating" above his head? Those fish were alive so long ago, part of the all knowing awareness-consciousness. Though their bodies became inanimate, the all knowing awareness-consciousness remains...is that not evidence of duality? Are our bodies form?

Greetings Mark

Myself and a friend would like to join you for your Thursday evening event. We heard about this from a fellow friend, Mark O'Leary.

Could you provide the address please? (Mark O'L just goes there - no address) And the time - from memory 7:00pm? And anything else we could know.

Mark, thank you very much for the post. It contains many insights - the results of long-term inner spiritual work. I have no doubt that after formulating all this you felt that it deserved to be written down and by doing so you'd brought yourself one step higher on the Stairway to Heaven.

In the wonder of timeless patterns
Space loves to show it's Beauty
The Splendour, colourful forms
Appearing on the backdrop of
                  Space.
How can the splashes of colourful
                  Patterns
Be without the timeless Spacious
         Canvas of Life!

Isn't it amazing that this appearance that is taken for a solid world, separate from the subject idea is all only fabricated via thoughts in space which is nothing! Only in the complete incompleteness of this subject/object illusion, does the frustration of futility breed till the seeking turns back at it's very self nature to discover there is no person at all that exists outside a thought called i...What a make believe house of cards. In the only Absolute where all appearances dissolve, no neon sign gives any indication of any concept/story about the appearance. The whole appearance is like a fairly tale, but in this tale what a blessing when you meet a dream character that can point the false back to the Eternal Absolute, that does not come or go!

An infinite progression of unending space, an infinite progression of unending time both future and past, from this unending expansion of so called nothing I is precipitated. And no intellect that I'am aware of will ever wrap that into a conceptual framework for purposes of ownership, but at least we understand this. Except that our real self has no rational explanation other than a negation. Does this put a universal foot up bull craps butt? I feel it does. Mark I have no idea why your stuff resonates so well with me but thanks. My friends and family love me but think Im slightly out there if you get my drift.
